uptake in the joints with severer pathological change and vice versa (Fig. 9.35B). The osteo-arthritis secondary to long-standing rheumatoid arthritis in the wrist radiographically indicated by osteosclerosis can easily be identified and diagnosed as such by prominent tracer uptake (Fig. 9.36B).
